Report: Michigan to sit all starters for first 11 games of season
Players to get rest before first (and last) game of season

ANN ARBOR, MI — Sources are reporting that the #2-ranked Michigan Wolverines, who are 11-0 this season as of their schedule being released two years ago, will be resting all 22 of their starters in preparation for the pivotal matchup with rival Ohio State in late November.
“We’ve had that game circled all year,” said Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. “At first it was because we thought it was our first game of the season. Once we realized we had 11 tune-ups throughout the fall, it was a no-brainer to give the starters some rest. It’ll be nice to let some of the guys who don’t get to see the field very often make some memories that will last a lifetime. (Quarterback JJ McCarthy's) Calculus II Teaching Assistant, Keith, is actually starting at linebacker for us against Rutgers. He won a bet I think.”
When asked about his suspension to begin the season, Harbaugh was cool and collected.
“The schedule’s been out for years. It wasn’t too hard to do the math to figure out just exactly how much I could violate the rules and get the exact suspension I wanted to get,” Harbaugh confidently shared. "Did Keith help with the math? Sure. But at the end of the day, what matters is me and all of our starters will be ready to go when the season starts on November 25th.”
